Blades of Iberia: Aminah

yeloson(First idea for a pregenerated character for my Burning Wheel campaign)
Aminah's life has never been easy. Living near the Christian north, with the constant skirmishing and war has given her much familiarity with blood and the death rattles of the wounded. While her husband raided and fought for glory, she has been fighting a secret war against the Absence - ralliying and commanding troops from the keep. Two months ago, he met his appointed hour, leaving her with two wars to fight.
Now she prepares to travel to Cordoba, to gain official recognition of inheritance of her husband's land, and to make a fatal blow against the Absence so she can focus her attentions solely upon the threat without- after all, whether demon or man- who can last without belief in the Highest?
Concept:
The secret general of a secret war, a hard woman who knows war is coming, and no one is willing to admit it. Aminah knows this must end soon, or civilization which is the light of the world will be washed away until the Final Days.
Aminah is a social powerhouse as far as skills go- she works best AS a general- she can get groups to work together, pull up Resources or Circles and apply larger scale. She's got great politick skills and strong, tough goals to pursue.
Age: 27
Beliefs:
• God has seen fit to grant me my husband's land and soldiers- now I must convince the Caliph and the court of it.
• I must finish the Absence here and now- it has run free too long, and destroys the faith.
• Without compassion and justice, there can be no victory.
Instincts:
• Always visit the wounded, let them know you have not forgotten them.
• When anyone attempts to impose on you, use Doctrine and Rule of Law to shut them down.
• Always have pre-arranged signals with your guards - danger can strike anywhere.

NPC Relationships: Old Masud (5 rps) - older cleric of the Caliphate Court- he was her tutor in younger years and often hears news of the court and passes it along
Affiliations: The House of Truth of the North (1D) - Aminah's keep has been safe haven and a gathering place for the Brotherhood of the Blades of Iberia- she is considered a senior "brother" and is well respected.
Property & Gear:
"The Watch of Al-Andulus" - Aminah's estate and keep near the Christian kingdoms of the north. (45 rps)
Clothes, shoes, finery - Well made and mixed with fashion from the North, which her husband brought back and her seamstress incorporated into her wardrobe. (7 rps)
Paper & Ink - With several papermills in An-Andulus and several dedicated scribe schools, Aminah has a good trade with a local fiefdom for sufficient writing material. She often writes extensive and thorough tracts on law and doctrine.
