Yeah, I've been watching friends who are contractors and temps battle it out for the last 2 years, I suspect that the blue at the beginning is a total above those lost- which isn't to say that the new jobs were at all equal to the ones lost- I mean, campaigning for the elections probably resulted in a lot of jobs, but all short term and not very well paid for 2007-2008.
