So, you have to watch until AFTER the part where they all get home.

I'm not sure how to take this. On one hand, yeah, fucked up sweatshop shit, calling it out!

Then there's the dolphin head, bear, etc. Um, did the critique shift from consumer society or what?

I watched this earlier and it rapidly went from critique to overkill, but then I'm not a fan of Banksy anyway.

I feel like Simpsons has reached a point of "ironic hipsterism" that really turns me off -- they offer critique, but now it's less through satire and more through "look at us ironically making fun of x! But it's more funny than sad/angering/awful, because we're only in it for the lulz". Ugh. I miss the days when it was the only show where the focus of a whole episode was Marge pressuring Lisa to "just smile" like a good girl and then coming around and apologizing to her daughter at the end.

0jack: Closeup of Boba Fett's helmet, angular orange stripe surrounding a narrow window on a greenish metallic field. (Kitty butt speaks louder than words.)

Yeah, it becomes disingenuous when it hits the panda. "Sweatshops are sad and evil and a real problem that we should think about... and it's even worse when they use pandas and dead dolphins and unicorns... wait, unicorns aren't real. LULZ. J/K, guys. Have a show." It's like playing "chicken" but with having a conscience.
