Delivering Justice on Heaven's Behalf

This is one of the things I think even a lot of "progressive" white people don't get. Looking at these two, I see my parents. I see a successful black couple, with their adorable daughters. And even though I may disagree with Obama and think he compromises too much, and if I hate the whole "obesity epidemic" think....nothing's ever going to take away the impact of that moment when it hit me that the First Lady went to school at Whitney Young and lived on the South Side and quite possibly knew people who knew my family....and I honestly never expected to see that in my lifetime.
