A good friend and white ally of mine who moved up to Seattle had some interesting stories about the kinds of advice received from folks about "where to live" which scarily mirrored the old sundown rules up there.
You might also want to pick up Driven Out - a book on Chinese being run out of towns along the West Coast. I'm thinking about looking at the times/places where one group is run out vs. another, etc.
